Everlight Digital Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026  ·  Effective: May 4, 2026

Everlight Digital ("we", "us", "our") publishes a family of mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to all apps we publish, including:

App-specific addenda are linked at the bottom of this page where an app's data practices differ materially from the defaults described here.

On this page

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the apps. The categories vary by app.

Account Information

When you sign in to apps that require an account (Olive, Clarity, Persue Bible, Persue Prayer), we receive:

Halcyon, Regen, and WordFind do not require an account.

Content You Create

Tasks, notes, lists, calendar events, meals, recipes, grocery items, journal entries, prayer entries, sermon notes, reading-plan progress, marked verses, kid points, rewards, celebrations, habits, voice recordings, meeting transcripts, check-in entries, and similar items you save inside an app.

Health and Fitness Data (Regen only)

If you grant HealthKit permission, Regen reads heart-rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate (RHR), sleep, active energy, workouts, and body mass from Apple Health. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. See Section 5.

Location Data (Halcyon only)

If you grant location permission, Halcyon uses your location to fetch local weather. We do not store your location on our servers. See Section 6.

Device and Diagnostic Data

Device model, iOS/iPadOS/watchOS version, app version, time zone, locale, and crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics or Apple's standard crash reporting).

Usage Analytics

Anonymous event data (which screens are viewed, which features are tapped) via Firebase Analytics. Currently active in Olive only. Disabled by default until you accept the in-app prompt. Disabled at all times in Kid Mode. Other apps may add anonymous analytics in future versions, with notice.

Subscription and Purchase Data

Apple receives your purchase information when you subscribe via in-app purchase. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous identifier and your subscription status to manage entitlements across devices.

App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

Apps that show ads (currently Halcyon, and WordFind if/when ads are enabled) prompt for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you grant it, the IDFA may be used by Google AdMob for personalized ads. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are non-personalized.

2. How We Use Information

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your content for third-party advertising. We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 4, only as needed to operate the apps, and only under contracts that require them to protect your data.

We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer (with notice).

4. Service Providers

Anthropic API keys are never shipped inside our iOS apps; AI requests are routed through a secured Cloud Functions proxy hosted on Google Firebase.

5. Health and Sensitive Data

Regen reads health data from Apple HealthKit when you grant permission. Health data is processed entirely on-device. We do not transmit, store, or share your HealthKit data.

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Regen.

Persue Prayer's mortification (sin tracking) entries and accountability check-ins are sensitive personal-reflection content. They are excluded from Spotlight indexing and stored in your private iCloud (CloudKit) container.

6. Location Data

Halcyon requests location permission to fetch local weather. Your location is sent to Apple WeatherKit (and RainViewer for radar) to retrieve forecast data. We do not retain location on our servers. You can deny or revoke permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

7. AI Features

Olive (Olive Assistant: NL quick-add, Smart Weekly Review, meal AI) and Clarity (Ask Claude, Brain Dump, summarization, task parsing, meeting transcription) include AI features powered by Anthropic's Claude API.

When you use an AI feature, the text or audio you submit is sent over HTTPS to our server (Google Cloud Functions), then forwarded to Anthropic. The response is returned to your device. We do not store your prompts or responses after the request completes. Anthropic processes the data per its commercial terms; Anthropic does not train its models on data sent through the Claude API by default.

Audio captured for transcription is converted to text on-device or via Apple Speech where possible. Audio is not stored on our servers.

8. Advertising

Halcyon's free tier shows ads via Google AdMob. You can remove ads by upgrading to the paid tier. WordFind ships with ad code stubbed; if ads become active in a future version, an in-app notice and updated policy section will explain.

If you grant App Tracking Transparency, AdMob may use your advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalize ads. If you deny, you still see ads, but they are non-personalized. See Google's ad policies.

9. Children

Olive Kid Mode

Olive supports family use. When a parent enables Kid Mode, the app is restricted to a child-safe view, Firebase Analytics is fully disabled, and only an explicit allowlist of low-risk events would ever be considered for a future release. Children sign in via the parent account; Olive does not create separate child accounts and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Other Apps

Halcyon, Clarity, Persue Bible, Persue Prayer, Regen, and WordFind are not directed to children under 13 and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it.

Parents who believe a child has provided personal information should contact bpratt116@gmail.com.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data while your account is active. Apps with a Trash feature (Olive, Clarity) keep deleted items for 30 days, then permanently remove them.

You can delete your account from within each app (Settings > Account > Delete Account, or the equivalent). Account deletion removes your identity record and your Firestore data within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days. Apple CloudKit data is controlled by you and removed when you delete it from your iCloud account or uninstall the app.

Anonymous diagnostic data (crash logs, analytics events) is retained for up to 14 months.

11. Your Rights

European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR, UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

Our legal bases for processing are: performance of contract (delivering the app you purchased), consent (location, HealthKit, analytics, ATT), and legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, product improvement).

California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate data, to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

Email bpratt116@gmail.com from the email address tied to your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (30 days for GDPR, 45 days for CCPA, extendable as permitted).

12. Security

All network requests use HTTPS (TLS). Authentication tokens are stored in iOS Keychain. Server data is encrypted at rest. AI requests pass through a server proxy so the Anthropic API key is never embedded in the app. We follow industry best practices but no system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you without undue delay where required by law.

13. International Transfers

Our service providers (Apple, Google, Anthropic, RevenueCat) are headquartered in the United States and operate global infrastructure. If you use the apps from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the U.S. or other jurisdictions. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the apps evolve. Material changes will be announced in-app and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance.
