Halcyon Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Everlight Digital ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Halcyon weather app ("Halcyon") on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
Information We Collect
- Location: If you grant location permission, your device location is used to fetch local weather. Location is processed on-device and sent to Apple WeatherKit and (for the radar redesign) RainViewer to retrieve forecast data. We do not store your location on our servers.
- Saved locations: City names you save are stored locally on your device.
- Settings: Unit preferences and theme stored locally.
- Device data: Device model, iOS version, app version, and crash logs.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA): If you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, Google AdMob may use IDFA to deliver personalized ads. If you decline, ads are non-personalized.
- Subscription status: Managed by Apple and RevenueCat to determine whether you see ads.
How We Use Information
- To fetch and display weather, severe alerts, and radar for your location
- To deliver ads in the free tier (Premium tier is ad-free)
- To diagnose crashes and improve the app
How We Share Information
We do not sell your data.
Children
Halcyon is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your Rights
You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings. You can revoke tracking permission in iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking. EU/UK users have GDPR rights; California users have CCPA rights. Contact bpratt116@gmail.com.
Security
All network requests use HTTPS. No personal account is required.
