Scorekeep Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Everlight Digital ("we", "us") handles information when you use Scorekeep ("Scorekeep") on iPhone and iPad.
Scorekeep collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no Everlight Digital server. Your games, players, and scores are stored on your own device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync privately between your own Apple devices through Apple's iCloud, which we cannot read.
Information We Collect
- Games, players, and scores (stored on your device): The games you create, the player names you type, the round-by-round scores, and your saved player favorites are stored in Scorekeep's own database on your device.
- Settings (stored on your device): Sound and haptics preferences are stored locally.
- iCloud sync (Apple's service, not ours): If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, that same data is mirrored to your private iCloud database so it appears on your other Apple devices. It is stored under your own Apple Account, is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is not visible to us. Signing out of iCloud or turning Scorekeep off in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud stops this; the app keeps working with local storage only.
- Backup files you export: If you use the JSON backup export in Settings, the resulting file goes wherever you choose to send it. We never receive it.
- Device / diagnostic data: If you choose to share diagnostics with Apple, standard crash reports may be made available to us in aggregated, non-identifying form through App Store Connect.
How We Use Information
We do not use your information, because we never receive it. Everything Scorekeep does with your games and scores happens on your device.
How We Share Information
- Apple iCloud — stores your data in your own private iCloud database so it syncs between your devices. This is the only network connection Scorekeep makes, and it goes to Apple, not to us.
We do not sell your data. Scorekeep contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking SDKs, no in-app purchases, and no Everlight Digital server of any kind.
Player Names
Player names are whatever you type. They are used only to label scores and to group statistics inside the app. Use nicknames or initials if you prefer; nothing verifies or transmits them.
Children
Scorekeep is a general-audience score pad and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
Your Rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete. You can delete individual games in the app, use Settings → Delete All Data to erase everything, export a JSON backup of your own data at any time, and remove all remaining local data by deleting the app. To remove synced copies, delete the app data from iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. EU/UK users have GDPR rights; California users have CCPA rights. Contact brendan@everlight-digital.com.
Security
Scorekeep runs inside the iOS app sandbox. Its data is protected by your device's own file protections and passcode, and iCloud data is protected by your Apple Account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app.
