Liftpad Support
About Liftpad
Liftpad is a gym workout logger for iPhone: log strength workouts, save routines, track custom exercises, and chart body-weight over time. It works fully offline — signing in is optional and only needed if you want your data backed up and synced across devices.
Common Questions
Do I need an account to use Liftpad?
No. Liftpad works completely offline with all your data stored on your device. Signing in is optional and only unlocks cloud backup and sync — useful if you get a new phone or want your data on more than one device.
How do I back up my data / sync across devices?
Go to Settings → Account and sign in with Apple, Google, or email + password, then turn on cloud sync. Once enabled, your workouts, routines, exercises, and measurements are backed up automatically and will be there if you reinstall or sign in on another iPhone.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes all of your data from our servers along with your account. This cannot be undone. If you've never signed in, all your data is only ever on your device — uninstalling the app deletes it.
How do I export my data?
Open Settings → Export Data to download a full JSON file of your workouts, routines, exercises, and measurements. This is free and available whether or not you're signed in.
How does Apple Health sync work?
Apple Health access is a separate opt-in in Settings → Apple Health. When enabled, Liftpad can read your body weight from Health to save you re-entering it, and writes your finished strength workouts to Health so they show up alongside your other activity. You can turn this off at any time in Liftpad's Settings or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Liftpad.
Does Liftpad send my Apple Health data to a server?
No. HealthKit data is read and written on-device only. If you import a body-weight reading from Health, that single value becomes a normal measurement in Liftpad and will sync like any other measurement if you also have cloud sync turned on. See privacy for the full breakdown.
Why am I getting a rest-timer notification?
Liftpad's rest timer uses local notifications on your device to tell you when your rest period is up. These are scheduled entirely on-device — there's no push server involved. You can adjust or disable them in Settings → Rest Timer.
Is Liftpad free? Are there ads?
Liftpad 1.0 is free with no ads and no in-app purchases.
