Repeating events

Every weekday, second Tuesday, and how to make it stop

Saying it repeats

Standup every weekday at 9:30am
Board meeting every 2nd Tuesday at 10am
Pay rent every month

That last one has no clock time, so it is a repeating task rather than a calendar event — usually what you want for a monthly chore.

Making it stop

With no end, a repeat runs forever. Add until <date> or for <n> times.
Standup every weekday at 9:30am until August 14
Standup every weekday at 9:30am for 6 times

The until date is included — the last standup above is on August 14 itself, not the day before. This is the reading people expect from the English word, and it is worth stating because calendar standards disagree with each other on the point.

Changing one occurrence

Repeating events are stored in your real calendar, so editing them behaves exactly as it does in Apple Calendar: opening one occurrence asks whether you mean this event only or all future ones. Chrona does not invent a second, competing notion of a repeat.
